JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson police believe they have arrested the man responsible for killing 67-year-old Helen Harrion. She was found dead shot in the face, beaten, and with a broken neck in her backyard on July 15, two days after Jackson Police reportedly did not follow correct 911 protocol, leaving her home without making face to face contact.
Alonzo Stewart, 29, was arrested Monday after he ran from police when they caught him trying to break into a home. Investigators said he admitted to committing both crimes and told them where the murder weapon was.
