Man Gets 45 Years for Party City Slaying

RIDGELAND, Miss. – After pleading guilty Tuesday to charges of second degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, Undra Ward will spend the next 45 years in prison. He was accused in assisting in the death of Bobby Adams, who was the manager of the Party City in Ridgeland when he was gunned down and the store was robbed back in 2012.

Surveillance video showed former employee Joshua Archie coming into the back door during closing hours and gunning down Adams. Prosecutors say Ward was working at the store at the time and pretended to be a victim when he was was actually in on the crime.

Ward says he will testify against Archie when he stands trial in April.
