Man Pleads Guilty to Robbery of Lee County Bank

VERONA, Miss.- A guilty plea was given from the Saltillo man Monday morning, in connection with the robbery that occurred May 1st. 41-year-old Michael Oliver plead guilty to one count of robbery Monday in Lee County Circuit Court. The charges stem from the May 1st robbery of the Renasant Bank on Raymond avenue in Verona.

Investigators told WTVA that Oliver gave the bank teller a note indicating that he had a weapon on him, but never actually showed the weapon. He was arrested after some tips were received after photos were released of the robbery.

Oliver will remain in the Lee County jail until he is turned over to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
