MARKS, Miss.–An argument over something apparently lead to a fatal shooting Thursday at a Kangaroo gas station.
“It escalated to the point of a weapon being displayed and fired, with one of the individuals being killed said Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain.
It’s not clear what the argument was about early that morning but the MBI said it was enough for Roger Craig to go and get his gun and shoot the victim.
“The victim has been identified as David Wayne Smith Jr. of Lambert, Mississippi and he was 31-years-old, ” said Strain.
Smith was shot in the back according to preliminary reports.
Craig is now in custody after turning himself in to police after the shooting.
