Man threatens life on I-20 among traffic

JACKSON- Police have taken into custody a man with a knife on I-20 East at Interstate 55. 

The man had a knife and was walking in and out of traffic threatening to harm himself as vehicles were stopped.

Once police arrived they began trying to coax the man off the interstate. He continued walking up and down the ledge of the bridge that goes over the railroad tracks.

Police were forced to use a stun gun on in order to get him to safety and clear the roadway. He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

His identity has not been released.
