Maybe Third Time Will Be a Charm: Choctaw Headed Back to the Polls to Elect New Chief

CHOCTAW, MISS– Voters in the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians are going back to the polls for the third time, this time hoping to walk away with a new chief. 

Voting day is Tuesday, August 25. They will be choosing between incumbent Phyllis Anderson and challenger Beasley Denson.

The Choctaw Tribunal overturned Anderson’s election when a run-off was declared.
