MDOT Poster Contest

With so much technology occupying the youth of today, MDOT, Mississippi Department of Transportation, has begun a poster contest that could encourage students to get up and get active.

WLOX reported the poster concert will be for fifth grade students, around the theme #longfortheride. One student will be selected to represent the state of Mississippi at the national competition. The winner will then be invited to go to Washington D.C. for the 2016 National Bike Summit.

The winner there will be given a bike rack for their school that can hold up to 20 bicycles along with a biking and walking tracking system called The Hub.

The deadline for the contest is October 21st. You can get more information at  www.gomdot.com/bikecontest, call 601-359-7685 or email comments@mdot.ms.gov.
