JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi’s only abortion clinic is still open, even after it was not able to abide by a state law requiring physicians to have admitting privileges to hospitals. Southern District Judge, Dan Jordan, III blocked the state from closing the Jackson Women’s Health Organization back in 2012.

The state is asking the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn the Judge’s ruling. Arguments are now scheduled to begin at the end April or the beginning of May.
