Miss. News Briefs: Temporary Hospital Set Up, Inmate Dies in Jail

JACKSON, Miss.–If you’re enjoying the dry weather this week, here’s some reading for fun in the sun.

TEMPORARY HOSPITAL
The inside of the county hospital blown out and now unusable in Louisville, now the temporary hospital is up and running. Now people who need medical care can go to the National Mobile Disaster Hospital. It was setup by FEMA and it’s the first time it’s ever been used, anywhere in the country.

INMATE DEAD IN YAZOO JAIL
Found dead in his cell in Yazoo City, 24-year-old Marshawn Williams of Belzoni, says Yazoo Coroner Ricky Shivers. He died about 2:30 Monday morning of natural causes. He had been in a fight earlier, but Shivers says that didn’t have anything to do with him dying.

BOO FERRISS TROPHY
Now, how about the state’s top college baseball player. Auston Bousfield got five home runs last year for the Ole Miss Rebels and last night he got the C Spire Boo Ferriss Trophy.
