Jones County– Ashley Clark went missing Sunday evening. She was found dead around noon on Monday.
WDAM reports that Ashley Clark wandered into the woods behind her parents’ home on Sunday and never came back. Search crews combed the area in the woods and discovered Clark’s body about 600 yards away from her parent’s home.
Clark’s body has been sent for autopsy but officials do not believe foul play is a factor. The cause of death is still unknown.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Department says the family thinks that Clark may have been under the influence of something when she walked into the woods.
