BILOXI, Miss.- A Louisiana man was found behind a Casino in the Mississippi Sound on Tuesday. 26-year-old Ronald Renard Whitaker had gone missing while he was on Spring Break on the Gulf Coast. His mother, Kimberly Whitaker was notified of the recovery of her son, and confirmed that it was him on Tuesday. He was from Terrytown, Louisiana.

Whitaker was reported missing early Sunday morning after a party at the Kress Live nightclub. He came to South Mississippi on Saturday for Biloxi Black Beach Weekend.

He was discovered at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday when a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino employee on his break looked out at the water and saw a body. Emergency responders were the called to the Biloxi Harbor behind the hotel.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said he was identified through pictures and his clothing, as he was last seen wearing black jeans and a red and white Polo shirt, and it was around 5:20 am Sunday when security cameras at the nightclub showed him leaving from a side door. The two friends he came with apparently left through a different door.

The investigation is ongoing and his body is on its way to Jackson for an autopsy.
