Oxford Drug Bust Leads to Four Arrests

OXFORD, Miss.- Oxford Police busted four on Monday in a drug case, along with the Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit. The four arrested were Clinton residents Madison White (20) and Shelbie Yates (21), as well as Nashville residents Jeffrey Lawson Factor (20) and Collin Michael Bishop (20). They all face charges of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute after authorities allegedly found them with 1,114 dosage units of Xanax.

Along with the Xanax, police also seized two grams of marijuana, five grams of synthetic marijuana, over $3,500 in cash, two iPhones, an Apple MacBook Pro and a 2010 Nissan Xterra in the bust.

Police told WTVA that three of the arrested are current students at Ole Miss, with the fourth being an Ole Miss alumni.

The two from Clinton, White and Yates, both were given $10,000 bonds while the two from Nashville, Factor and Bishop, were given bonds of $75,000.

Police also added that this seized stopped the four from distributing the controlled substances in the Oxford/University/Lafayette County area.
