Mississippi child dies after her stroller is hit by crossing car

McComb, Miss. – A toddler is dead after being struck by a car while her mother and father pushed her stroller across Seventh Street in McComb.

Erin Jeanson and her husband, Stephen, where pushing their 22-month-old daughter, Noel, when a car turned the corner and hit the mother and child.

CPR was performed on the child and both the child and mother were taken to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. The child was pronounced dead in the emergency room, her mother is said to have non life threatening injuries. The father was not injured.

No arrest has been made and police say there was no sign that the driver was impaired by alcohol or drugs.
