HERNANDO, Miss.- The dress worn by a Mississippi delegate to the Democratic National Convention is now on display at a New York museum.

Kelly Jacobs wore the dress, which showed a photo of President Barack Obama printed on the actual fabric, to this years convention. The dress is one of 13 she has made that are politically-themed.

Her goal? To spark conversation in a Republican-dominated DeSoto County.

The dress is on display at the New-York Historical Society Museum & Library.

Jacobs’ design caught the eye of museum director Margi Hofer, who saw a photo of it on the front page of The New York Times. The museum collects “expressive” political garments and memorabilia.

Jacobs’ styled her dress with a bedazzled hat, and an American flag purse.
