CARBON COUNTY, Utah–You can run, but you can’t hide- forever. Sam Gene Harris can come back to Mississippi to finish serving his four-year sentence for having burglary tools and shoplifting, and add on a few more for escape. He was caught last week after being on the run for 34 years.

Harris escaped November 1980, said the Mississippi Dept. of Corrections. He had been living in the Wellington, Utah area, according to the FBI. That agency let local law enforcement know where he was Thursday.

Harris had apparently kept up his burglary skills and had used aliases to keep from getting caught.
