Mississippi Girl Scout Cookie Scam Uncovered

VICKSBURG, Miss.–A scam that swindled many Vicksburg residents out of their money has been uncovered.

The Vicksburg Post reports a Girl Scout cookie scam that involved taking fake orders door-to-door by 37-year-old Paula Lynn Kelly has been put to an end.

Kelly has been charged with grand larceny after taking over $1,000 cash for orders placed in person and never following through with any cookies, mainly because she has nothing to do with the Girls Scouts of America in any way.

She is being held without bond in the county jail until her initial appearance.
