Mississippi man files lawsuit claiming R. Kelly had affair with wife

A Hinds County Sheriff’s Deputy has filed a lawsuit against R&B singer R. Kelly alleging that the Grammy winner had an affair with his wife.

According to multiple media outlets, Deputy Kenny Bryant filed the suit on April 21 in Hinds County. He is suing for punitive and compensatory damages.

Bryant alleges that his wife, Asia Childress, rekindled a previous relationship with Kelly after their marriage in July of 2012. In the lawsuit, Bryant claims that Childress’ relationship with Kelly renewed after going to a Kelly concert in October 2012.

Bryant claims that his wife would communicate with Kelly through phone calls, text messages and visits. He also claims that he and his wife moved to George in order for her to be closer to the BET Award winner, even though his wife said the move was necessary for her career. According to the lawsuit, Bryant alleges Childress contracted chlamydia from Kelly after the two began seeing each other again.

R. Kelly is known for hits such as Ignition, I’m a Flirt and I Believe I Can Fly. He also has a history of fighting allegations regarding his sex life. Kelly has been accused numerous times of having sex with underage girls, though he has never been found guilty in a court of law.
