Mississippi Power and the Public Utilities Staff have yet to reach an agreement in regards to the Kemper Project, so, the Public Service Commission is hosting a meeting on Tuesday to outline the process of moving forward.

The advisory period will lead to hearing that are set to begin on December 4.

“Because there has not been an agreement between the staff and the company we have set a scheduling order yesterday that essentially sets a hearing for December the 4th, and the Commission to dispose the case by January of 2018,” said Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley.

He said they are hopeful to still receive a settlement, but if that is not the case they intend to resolve this conversation in a timely manner with the scheduled hearings.

For more information on these proceedings you can go to the Public Service Commission website in Docket No. 2017-AD-112.
