Mississippi Unemployment Rate Down for April

JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi’s unemployment rate is down, but it is because fewer of you were looking for work. That nemployment rate fell to 9.1 percent in April from 9.4 percent in March. The national unemployment rate fell to 7.5 percent in April from 7.6 percent in March.

Mississippi still has the third highest unemployment rate in the country.
