Mississippi Weekend: Christmas lights, concerts, and 12k’s

Here’s whats happening in Mississippi this weekend. 

Update:

Due to unforeseen circumstances Foreigner has been cancelled this weekend.

This weekend Foreigner is coming to town at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. and lasts till 10 p.m. You can still get tickets online at the Horseshoe’s website. Don’t miss this musical favorite.

Continuing in Cleveland is 50 Nights of Lights. Lasting until December 31 the entire downtown walking trail has been transformed into a holiday wonderland with animated decorations and a 50 foot light display. Don’t forget the giant Christmas tree. Make sure to take the family and enjoy this holiday sight.

In Jackson, 12k’s for the Holidays is going on in Fondren. It’s the annual holiday race sponsored by the Good Samaritan Center. The center helps families in crisis meet everyday needs. They’ll have the 12k run, 5k run, and 5k walk, also a fun run for the little ones. all proceeds go to the Good Samaritan Center.
