Mississippi Weekend: Dinosaurs, Symphony, Mardi Gras Parades

Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice

Saturday is the grand opening for the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science’s brand new exhibit, Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice. Visitors will be able to learn about how different dinosaurs were fit to live in the various climates across the world. Paleontologist George Philips will give a personation on Saturday at 11 a.m. and will be available to answer questions. If you are not able to make it to the exhibit this weekend, don’t worry. It will be at the museum until May.

Gulf Coast Symphony Concert

The Gulf Coast Symphony will be hosting a concert at the Sanger Theater in Biloxi Saturday night at 7. The performance will feature guest artist Adonis Gonzalez, who is a world class, high energy pianist. Gonzalez is a native of Cuba and is a graduate from the master’s program at University of Southern Mississippi.

  •  40th Annual Oceans Springs – Elks Mardi Gras Parade – Starts at 1pm in Historic Downtown Ocean Springs
  •  7th Annual Krewe of Legacy Mardi Gras Parade – Starts at 1pm at Neco’s Market Place in Pass Christian
  •  7th Annual Krewe of Little Rascals Children Mardi Gras Parade – Starts at 1pm at the Downtown Plaza in Downtown Pascagoula
