Get your festival experience at the Dulcimer Festival at JP Coleman State park in Iuka. You’ll experience sailing, swimming, skiing, and fishing for Smallmouth bass in Pickwick Lake, and enjoy camping and exploring along the banks of the Tennessee River.

In Jackson this weekend, its the Mississippi Book Festival. Features authors Richard Ford, Greg Iles, Linda W. Jackson, Ron Rash, Angie Thomas and more. Includes more than 30 panels, live interviews, book signings, a kids corner and capitol tours.

For something a little more creepy, join the Southern Paranormal and Anomaly Research Society at Beauvoir trying to make contact with some of Beauvoir’s resident spirits.

Guests will be divided into groups and taken to the different “hot spots” on the property to meet the spirits–locations include the main home and the cemetery.
