Mississippi Weekend: Hot air balloons, glow-in-the-dark run, and a Disney adventure

JACKSON, MISS–If you’re looking for ways to have fun this weekend, there’s plenty to do right here at home.Check out the Greenwood Balloon and Music Festival at Whittington Park in Greenwood. It’s three days of food, music, a car show, kids activities, and of course hot air balloons. Here’s the website for more information http://greenwoodballoonfest.net/.

Then head to Ridgeland for Mississippi’s First Glow Run at Old Trace Park. This run is like no other– you start at night, and as you run, you’re doused in the glow in the dark stuff; so it starts at night and ends bright. Next, hit up Biloxi.. the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center features Mulan Jr. Travel back to the legendary days of ancient China and hear the story of Mulan and all your favorite characters as they fight to save the Emperor!
