The second Sunday of May is reserved each year for the celebration of all things Mother. It is on this day that we honor the women who carried us in their bodies, taught us up in the way we should go, and then still stood with us long into adulthood.

But for some, Mother’s Day has a pain to it. In Carl’s case, this will be the 7th year Mother’s Day has rolled around without his mom, and while he still misses her, he can’t help but smile when he reflects on the love she shared and the lessons she taught him.
