MS State licking wounds after 31-3 Georgia rout

Mississippi State rolled into Athens Saturday with high hopes.

It didn’t take long for everyone to realize it was going to be a long night.

The final score of 31-3 speaks for itself.

The MSU offense had trouble from the get-go, marking a three and out only to be followed up by a Georgia flea-flicker for a touchdown. Yes: a backyard football trick play for 59 yards put UGA on the board first and they never looked back.

MSU’s only score was a 26 yard field goal from Jace Christmann.

The Bulldogs will have to figure something out before heading to the Plains next week to face the #15 Auburn Tigers.
