The Neshoba County Fair starts this weekend with everything from carnival experiences to political speaking that makes the fair unique.

Scott Bounds, Vice President and program director of the Neshoba County fair says they are excited about this year’s line up.

“We’ve got eight big days planned and we want to invite everybody that hasn’t been able to come to the fair to come,” said Bounds. “We look forward to having the people who want to see what the Neshoba County fair is all about.”

The highlights of the fair each year are political speaking, horse races, an old fashioned county fair, cattle shows, dairy shows, farm and crop exhibits, art exhibits, an arts and craft flea market, and the 38th running of the Heart of Dixie Triathlon.

“Along with the political speaking, we’ve got horse races, six days of horse races on Mississippi’s first licensed horse racing track. Then, of course what the Neshoba County fair is synonymous for, Mississippi’s giant house party.”

With 601 cabins and nearly as many RV spots, Bounds says it is truly a Giant House Party.

The 128th Neshoba County Fair kicks off on July the 21st and will carry through until the 28th.
