New residents welcomed at the Jackson Zoo

Sunday, May 27, 2017 - Red Ruffed Lemur babies

The Jackson Zoo just increased by two. 

Two baby boy red ruffed lemurs were born on May 27th. The discovery was made when zookeepers arrived that morning. The red ruffed lemur is listed critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Red Ruffed lemurs originate in a small area of Madagascar, they are the most endangered lemur in the world.
