Speeders on the Natchez Trace, beware.
Park Rangers along the Trace are getting some new tech to help keep travelers safe on the scenic parkway: LASERS.
Offering more precision than tried and true radar, the powerful units can detect speeders at a much greater distance and won’t show up on radar detectors, thoough they do have a drawback: they can only be used from a stationary vehicle.
Don’t expect the laser units to replace radar, however: a high price tag will make it so that only one unit will be available for each district.
The best way to avoid a ticket? SLOW DOWN.
