News Brief: Russian Roulette with Teens in Natchez, Ole Miss Footballer in the Hospital, Windows Shot Out at Fire Station

A shooting in Columbus is why your college student was on lockdown at the Mississippi University for Women Sunday. Police say two men got into a fight and started shooting outside the Townsend Community Center. One man was taken to the hospital and another was arrested. MUW is back to business, lockdown lifted.

Stealing a log truck and stealing stuff in two counties is why Micheal Scallions is in the lockup. He picked up the log truck in Yazoo County, and was arrested with stolen goods in Warren County. Scallions is in the Warren County jail waiting to see the judge.

Falling 15 feet from a hotel wall in Atlanta is why Ole Miss football player Robert Nkemdiche is in the hospital. Police there say the defensive tackle broke a window, climbed a wall, then fell over it. Pot was found in his room. Nkemdiche was awake and alert when the paramedics arrived.

A game of Russian Roulette in Natchez and now one teenager is dead and another is in the lockup. Justin Williams died after the 17 year old was shot in the chest. Police say the shooter, also 17 years old, loaded one bullet in the chamber, pointed and shot. He’s in jail, waiting to see the judge.

Windows shot out of a cars at the Biloxi Fire department, and police need your helping figuring out who did it. The firefighters say they were ringing bells at Walmart for Salvation Army and came back to see the damage. The windows were shot out with pellet guns, and the station doesn’t have cameras.
