No Call list now allows cellphone numbers

Jackson, MS- Tuesday July 5th the Central District Service Commission hosted a press conference discussing the addition of cell phones to the Mississippi No Call Registry. Adding a cell phone is easy, all you have to do is fill out a form.

The press conference was lead by Commissioner Cecil Brown. He was joined by Southern District Commissioner Sam Britton and Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley.

Set up in the lobby of the Woolfolk Building in the Capitol City individuals assisted those wishing to register their phone numbers on the new No Call list.

“Mississippi has the highest percentage of cellphone only households in the United States of America, with over 50 percent of the houses in our state using cellphones as a primary tool of communication,” Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley.”

The form can be found on the Mississippi Service Commission website. After registering it will take about 60 days for the calls to stop.

“The Public Service Commision is working every day to beat down these calls that no one wants to get,” Southern District Commissioner Sam Britton
