No Charges for Stonewall Officer Accused of Killing Man During Arrest

STONEWALL, MISS– After months of investigating, a Clarke County Grand Jury says no charges on being filed on an officer after things got physical during an arrest, and a man died.

Stonewall Officer Kevin Herrington is cleared after a struggle during the arrest of Jonathan Sanders back in July. Sanders died during that struggle. Witnesses say Herrington strangled Sanders to death, reports WJTV. But after an investigation and the hearings, Herrington has been cleared. The grand jury says Herrington was using the force necessary, because he thought Sanders was on drugs.
