North Mississippi Gets 55 New Jobs

PONTOTOC, Miss. – Plans to create 55 new jobs in Pontotoc County have been announced by two companies. 

North Carolina based Brooks and Dehart Furniture Xpress delivers furniture for manufacturers. The company said Monday it will open a terminal, which will create 35 new jobs, in Pontotoc County to serve furniture makers in northeast Mississippi.  

“We are excited to locate our first Mississippi operation in Pontotoc,” said Brooks and Dehart Furniture Xpress President Anthony Brooks. “The community has made us feel very welcome… We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with the people of this community.”

Eaton Custom Seating will also bring 20 more jobs to Pontotoc County with a planned $500,000 expansion.  Eaton makes seating products used primarily in hospitality and health care industries. 

“Eaton Custom Seating is proud to be a part of the Pontotoc community for more than 50 years,” said its’ President Greg Marx.  “We value our relationship with all of our elected officials and appreciate all that they have done.  ECS truly feels that we are all in this together.”
