JACKSON, Miss.–If you’re headed to prison, one privilege you will be missing in a Mississippi lock-up: conjugal visits, or basically, sex with your spouse on prison grounds.
Even though it’s something that Mississippi prisons have been allowing for over 100 years, Miss. Dept. of Corrections head Chris Epps told media that it will end early 2014.
State lawmakers have been talking about ending the program with legislation, but Epps said he could end it himself, without lawmakers having to be involved.
