Pearl PD’s Biggest Bust finds Heroin by the Bundles on Major Highway

PEARL, Miss. – Police in Pearl have made what they believe to be the largest heroin bust in the history of the state of Mississippi.

Police pulled over a driver on I-20 Monday and, after searching the vehicle, found 20 bundles of pure white heroin hidden in the firewall area of the car.  Investigators said the drugs have a street value of more than $1 million and was likely shipped from South America.  Ana Garcia, 46, of Texas was booked in the Rankin County jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
