People Infected with West Nile in Hinds and Rankin Counties

JACKSON, Miss. — Two more people got the bite. The State Department of Health saying there are new West Nile infections in Rankin and Hinds counties. So far this year 17 people have been infected by the mosquito-spread disease this year and there has been one death.

Remember you can keep yourself protected by wearing long sleeves, wearing repellant, and getting rid of standing water outside of your house since that is where the bloodsuckers like to breed.
