Pipe bombs found in Jackson County home

Potential pipe bombs have been found inside of a home in Jackson County.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell has confirmed that the makings of multiple pipe bombs were found inside of a home on Big Ridge Road around 8 p.m. last night. The man who lives in the home told officers that they belonged to his roommates, who recently moved out.

A news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says that the Biloxi PD’s Bomb Squad and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives (ATF) responded to the scene once officers found the bomb-making materials inside of a chest in the home.  

No names or suspect information has been released at this time.
