Rain and thunderstorms, cooler temperatures – 4-18-19

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, chances of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and continuing into the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe and locally, heavy rainfall is possible in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the mid to upper 70s. Tonight, cooler with more rain and possibly severe thunderstorms that will continue after midnight. Locally, heavy rainfall continues to be possible. Lows will be in the upper 40s.

In central Mississippi, showers and thunderstorms in the morning and throughout the day. Chances of severe thunderstorms and locally, heavy rainfall may be possible. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s. At night, temperatures are dropping down with more showers and thunderstorms that may continue after midnight. Lows will drop down near 50.

In south Mississippi, a slight chance of showers in the morning and afternoon with some of those thunderstorms having the possibility of being severe. Locally, heavy rainfall is possible and highs will be in the upper 70s. In the evening, colder with heavy showers and severe thunderstorms possible in the evening. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
