Rain guaranteed, storms possible to start the work week

JACKSON, MISS- Monday will be rainy and cold with a chance of flooding in low areas.

From Greenwood down through Hattiesburg, you’re guaranteed to see some rain today later in the afternoon and on through the night–and the temperatures won’t vary much. Some severe storms are also possible, with high winds, hail, and a tornado can’t be ruled out.

North Mississippi, growing rain chances through the day as the temps will stay near 50 today and through the night.

For Central Mississippi, highs hit the mid-50’s, lows dipping just a few degrees if any to the low 50’s, with showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and night.

For South Mississippi, down through Hattiesburg it’s much of the same with temps in the 50’s and a chance of thunderstorms, but as we move closer to the Gulf Coast, still rain, but temps are slighting warmer, peaking into the upper 60’s with overnight lows in the upper 50s.
