Recall for Corona Beer after Possible Shards of Glass Found in Bottles

JACKSON, Miss.- Corona is having a recall after finding out there could be shards of glass in the beverage.

Constellation Brands Beer announced the recall of 6, 12 and 18 packs of the 12 ounce Corona Extra packages Tuesday. Representatives said something went wrong with production by a manufacturer that supplies the Corona bottles.

They believe less than one percent of the bottles are affected on the market, but some of those could be in stores in Mississippi. If that’s your beer of choice, you may want to reconsider for now.

No injuries resulting from the affected bottles have been reported.

The following products are not being recalled and are safe to drink:

  • Corona Extra cans
  • Corona Extra 24-pack loose bottles
  • Corona Extra 24 oz. bottle
  • Corona Extra draft beer
  • Corona Light bottles
  • Corona Light cans
  • Corona Light draft beer
  • Corona Familiar
  • Coronitas
