Restaurant Donates Towards Dog Park

HATTIESBURG, Miss.- Little by little, Hattiesburg residents are closer to getting a place for their pets to run free.

Raising Canes in Hattiesburg donated $2,500 toward the development of the “See Spot Run” project. The idea for a dog park has been in the works for over a year at this point, and since the city is working off of donations only, the funding has taken some time to come in.

So far, $70,000 has been raised by the Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation. The ultimate goal is around $150,000. Any donations are accepted and are tax deductible. Donations can be made out to the Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation. Checks can be mailed to: 1507 Hardy St. Suite 208, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.
