Ricin Letter Lawyer Asks for Delay of Trial

Oxford, Miss. — The lawyer of James Everett Dutschke has asked for a delay in his trial set for July 29.

The reason, he needs more time to review the evidence.

Dutschke is the Tupelo man accused of sending ricing laced letters to President Barak Obama, Senator Rodger Wicker, and Judge Saddie Holland.

That motion was filed in federal court Tuesday morning. Dutschke was arrested April 27 and has been held in the Lafayette County jail since.
