Ricin Suspect Apparently Tried to Run

Dutschke

OXFORD, Miss. — New information is being released in that ricin case.  FBI applications for warrants were filed today in US District Court in Oxford.

According to the documents, James Everett Dutschke of Tupleo hid under blankets in a friend’s truck just days before his arrest and tried to elude police.  They say he and the friend took an evasive 2-hour route to get to a house just 22 miles away.

Dutschke was then found about 70 miles away in Ashland.  He is accused of sending those poison laced letters to the President, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker and Lee County Judge Sadie Holland.
