Runoff election to fill Delta House seat

A special runoff election is happening today to take over the seat formerly held by Representative Robert Huddleston of Sumner. Two candidates are scheduled to appear on the ballot to see who will take over for the former legislator who served in the House since 1996.

Since no candidate received over 50% of the vote in early May, a runoff between Blake Ferretti and Tracey Rosebud will determine who will succeed Huddleston.

District 30 encompasses the Mississippi Delta and covers parts of Bolivar, Quitman, Sunflower, and Tallahatchie Counties.

If anyone has trouble finding their polling place, the Secretary of State is reminding people that they can use the polling locator on their website if they are looking for their correct precinct.
