School District to Offer Free Breakfast and Lunch

MOSS POINT, Miss. – Starting this Fall all students in the Moss Point School District will receive free breakfast and Lunch.

Moss Point is considered a “High-Need District” that qualifies to receive funding from the Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Last year, 91 percent of district students qualified for either reduced or free lunches.

Administrators say the new changes will cut down administrative costs along with reducing the amount of paperwork parents are asked to fill out.

The school district has already been serving free breakfast since 2012.
