Second Thoughts; Criminal Chance or Shady Romance in MS Coast Woods

Gulfport MS -The visible signs of the sexual torture of woman at a campsite hidden in some woods near a Gulfport Lowes store seemed to be plain to see.

But during a bond  hearing Thursday for Andrew Clinton Cruse Jr., who was jailed for rape and kidnapping the woman, police testimony  raised questions about her version of the story. There’s no doubt when she ran into the store’s parking area, where some customers helped her, she was naked, tied up with duct tape and bleeding from being beaten. However, police say the fact she voluntarily went with Cruse to his tent after meeting him at a WalMart, has caused them to rethink the circumstances of the case. Cruse, who has a long criminal history, wanted his half milllion dollar bond reduced. Justice Court Judge  Brandon Ladner said no and sent the evidence to a grand jury.
