CLARKSDALE, Miss.- A security guard was shot and killed in Clarksdale early Tuesday morning. Clarksdale Assistant Chief of Police Robbie Linley says that at about 12:49 Tuesday morning, officers responded to a call in the 200 block of Hicks street where a security guard had been shot.
“Officers did find that a 59-year-old white male security guard had been shot multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he later died of his injuries,” said Linley.
The Clarksdale Police Department is currently following up on leads to try and determine the motive of the shooting, and also developing suspects in the case.
