Severe storm threat for Sunday and Monday

Severe storms are slated for Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, and could linger through Memorial Day.

The National Weather Service has predicted a slight and marginal risk for severe weather for Central and North Mississippi respectively.

With this cold front moving in, the main threats are severe storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, hail, and localized flooding possibilities this Sunday afternoon and evening.

Monday, the storm system will slowly move south east, leaving central and eastern Mississippi under a marginal and slight risk of severe storms.
