Severe Weather Expected for Much of Mississippi Wednesday, Thursday

Jackson, Miss–We can brace ourselves for severe weather in the next couple of days.

Starting in North Mississippi, shower and thunderstorms are 80 percent likely today, mainly in the afternoon. Some of those storms may produce severe rainfall. A high of 72 is expected along with southwesterly winds up to 15 MPH. Tonight, more of the same with a low around 63 with up to three inches or rain accumulation. A 90 percent chance of continued storm activity tomorrow, with a high of 77.
Central Mississippi, a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 75. Tonight, showers and thunderstorms bringing a low around 66. Wind gusts as high as 25 MPH. Between 1 and 2 inches of accumulation is possible. Tomorrow, I’ll bet you can guess. Showers and thunderstorms, possible severe. High near 78.
Southern Mississippi, expect a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 70. Tonight, more showers and thunderstorms, Low around 69. Tomorrow, more showers and thunderstorms. High near 76.
