Shuckers Top Braves in First Ever Meeting

PEARL, Miss.- We may have quite the rivalry brewing between the two state minor league teams. The Biloxi Shuckers are in their first season under that alias after their move from Huntsville. It was the Shuckers that came out on top in the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

In an offensive showcase that produced 31 hits between the two teams, Biloxi was able to push one more across the plate that got them the W.

Brooks Hall (4-0) worked six innings for the Shuckers, giving up three runs and two earned runs on eight hits and two walks. He struck out five and picked up the win. Damien Magnifico (S, 2) came on to record the final four outs and notch the save.

The series continues Thursday at Trustmark Park in Pearl. First pitch will be at 7 p.m.
