SMITH COUNTY, Miss. – A Smith County man has been arrested after police say he shot his mother’s boyfriend following an argument.
Family members told investigators that Craig Wilson pointed a gun at Jeff Daniels; so Daniels tackled Wilson and the gun accidentally went off. Wilson was hit in the stomach and remains in ICU at a Jackson hospital.
Daniels was taken to the county jail. His bond is set at $20,000. It is still unclear what started the argument.
